Peter Purves

Peter is one of Britain’s most experienced presenters and speakers.
He first sampled fame in 44 episodes of Doctor Who before his 10 years in the brilliant children’s TV programme Blue Peter.    Peter has since presented numerous TV series including Kick Start, Superdogs, Stopwatch, Babble and Crufts Dog Show as well as remaining very active in the theatre and having many outside interests.
Peter is currently voicing and fronting the new Dr. Who DVD releases and continues as a highly successful teacher and trainer passing his experience on to a new generation of presenters and speakers not only in the entertainment industry but also in the corporate field.

Peter is one of  Britain’s most
experienced TV presenters probably
best
known for his work
in Blue Peter.


His career began
in
the
theatre
and in
the
early 60’s he
appeared
in
many popular television series. In 1965 he joined the original Doctor Who for a year as his sidekick.


Since then Peter has presented many TV shows including
Crufts, Stopwatch
and We’re Going Places
to 
name a few. More recently, Peter has made his
31st
consecutive broadcast from
Crufts 2008, hosted Destination Lunch and
Retire
Abroad
for the Overseas Property Channel and
was
a
judge
on Underdog for BBC.


Peter has presented various TV commercials and
corporate videos and he is actively involved
in the theatre and
directs many well
know actors in Panto each
year.


Peter continues to be very busy including
celebrating BluePeter’s
50th Anniversary and
has just
launched his
Autobiography, Here’s One I wrote Earlier.
